Consider the thought, of playing pretend,
One part of our youth, I pray never ends.
Like laughing with pity at jokes that aren’t funny.
Like smiling with sadness at wastage of money.
Like acting all crazy and seeming all angry.
Then smile like a baby, turns out you were hungry.
Like shocking the world with mad misbehaving.
”Watching a movie” is really amazing.
Like filling the garbage, thats “not” overflowing.
There’s room in the inn and you better know it.
Like ordering nothing then gorging on snackies.
Should have prepared for the daily ransacking.
When to pretend is more art than science.
Better get good, you’ll thank me for trying.
