When we may seem broken,
The shattered dream — awake.
The bard muse, now choking;
That feast one big mistake.
When we may seem separate,
Detached and disengaged.
Once Kings and Queens, now desperate,
Struggling to relate.
There may be no solutions,
No quip, or turn of phrase.
To salve the lilliputian
Wounds exacting pain.
There may be no forgiveness
That’s left when all’s been drained.
No longer care to witness,
Such lack of soul or grace.
That’s the hour to ponder.
To pause, with self — relate.
To look within and wonder
.Is now the time for change?
Or double down — be heartened,
The path may ne’er be straight,
Of one thing do be certain:
True love will lead the way.
